Cornerstone Communities, the leading developer of luxury multi-family
communities in the Philadelphia suburbs, most notably Terrazza at
Newtown Square, Cornerstone Terrace in Exton, Cornerstone Villas in
Glen Mills, Cornerstone Gateway in West Chester and Cornerstone Rise in
Glenmore. Cornerstone has developed over five hundred homes at more
than twenty single family and townhome communities in the region.
Cornerstone Communities is noted for leadership in “Smart Growth” and
“Green Design".
Whether developing a neighborhood of single-family homes, luxury
condominiums or rental apartments, the company’s comprehensive
involvement, from land development through construction, allows for a
more positive impact on the communities it creates. Company policy
abides by a strict philosophy of land development that is conservation
oriented and environmentally sensitive, seeking always to preserve open
spaces and historic features.
For ten years, prior to forming Cornerstone Communities, David Della
Porta was a principal at Realen Homes, one of the largest homebuilders
in the Philadelphia region, where he managed the development of more
than 3,000 homes. While at Realen Homes, Mr. Della Porta was involved
in the creation of several distinguished communities including: The
Hermitage in Gladwyne, Waynesborough Woods in Easttown, The Ridings of
Whitpain, Talamore Country Club in Horsham and Farmview in Yardley.
Mr. Della Porta is the past president of the Main Line Builders
Association and a full council member of the Urban Land Institute, the
nation’s leading Real Estate organization. Cornerstone Communities has
won numerous industry awards including recent Community of the Year
awards for Cornerstone Villas and Cornerstone Terrace and 2006 Builder
of the Year honors from the Main Line Builders Association.
